Field Experiences

Ornithology (BIO4720)

You will be introduced to the world of birds from genetics to global ecology & conservation.  You will study diversity, form and function, physiology, behavior, life history, and identification by sound and sight. This course ends with a trip to Lake Erie during the spring bird migrations.

Marine Biology (BIO4730/6730)

Marine Biology introduces you to the oceanic ecosystems and includes a trip to a marine habitat on the coast.  Spring 2018 Marine Biology Application

Amazon Expedition (BIO4450/6450)

You will travel to the Peruvian Amazon, where you will see primary and secondary rainforest, tropical rivers, and wildlife. We will travel extensively, visiting field stations and jungle lodges in and adjacent to Manu National Park.  Amazon Expedition Summer 2018 Application
