Kara Geremia

Kara Geremia was recently profiled on OhioLINK's website for her extensive use of OhioLINK to support her graduate school reseach efforts. Kara recently completed her Chemistry Master's Thesis “Computational Estimation of the pKa’s of Purines and Related Compounds” under the guidance of Co-Advisor's, Dr. Eric Fossum and Dr. Paul Seybold.

Trevor Schumacher was recently honored with an Outstanding Poster award for his presentation at the National Meeting of the American Chemical Society, which was held in San Diego, CA during the week of March 15th.  The award was bestowed by the Polymer Division of the American Chemical Society and was presented by president of the division, Dr. Karl Haider, at an awards ceremony on Wednesday, March 17th.  He received a framed certificate as well as a cash prize. Dr. George Hess passed away Friday September 4, 2015. He is survived by wife, Sylvia, daughter Heidi (Chris Rice), son Jon (Minh Hess), and grandchildren Nathan and Nicole Hess and Sophie Rice.

Dr. Hess retired in 1999 after 34 years of exceptional service to Wright State University. He did his undergraduate at Juniata College in Pennsylvania, and went on to Pennsylvania State University, where he obtained his Ph.D. in 1964.
