Psychology Graduate Wins Aerospace Human Factors Association's Stanley N. Roscoe Award for the best Doctoral Dissertation

Dr. John McIntire

Dr. John McIntire, alumnus of the Wright State University Human Factors Psychology Doctoral Program, has won the Aerospace Human Factors Association's (AsHFA) Stanley N. Roscoe Award for the best Doctoral Dissertation written in a research area related to the field of Aerospace Human Factors for the year 2015.  Dr. McIntire's disertation is titled "Investigating the Relationship between Binocular Disparity, Viewer Discomfort, and Depth Task Performance on Stereoscopic 3D Displays."  The Stanley N. Roscoe Award is presented for the best Doctoral Dissertation written in a research area related to the field of Aerospace Human Factors.  The University of Illinois' Institute of Aviation established an endowment for the AsHFA to fund the Stanley N. Roscoe Award and presents the recipient with a $500 honorarium and a plaque.  To be eligible for the award, the dissertation must have been completed and accepted by the sponsoring department during the fiscal year prior to the annual meeting (e.g. for 2015, between October 1, 2013 and September 30, 2014).
