About

Madison Yancey

My name is Madison Yancey and I am double majoring in Statistics and Computer Science. I am also in the 4+1 Program for Computer Science, so after graduating with my bachelor’s degrees in the spring, I will return to Wright State in the fall to complete my Master’s in Computer Science. I then hope to earn my PhD, so I can return to academia and become a college professor. On campus, I work as a Learning Assistant for General Chemistry I and Intro to Chemistry, as a Teaching Assistant for SM1010, and as a research lab assistant to Dr. Engisch in her Neuroscience, Cell Biology, and Physiology lab studying synaptic plasticity. In addition, I also intern at Civica CMI as a software developer. In my free time, I usually catch up on sleep, binge watch my favorite TV shows, or spend time with friends and family. I'm very honored to be a part of the Dean's Circle and will use this position to help students realize their true passion and assist students in exploring more opportunities for experiential learning. I spend most of my time on campus, so if you ever see me feel free to say hi!
