In high school, Cody Fourman was attracted to science for the puzzle qualities of the problems. He liked solving puzzles, and wanted to learn more about science and mathematics while increasing his knowledge of the surrounding world.

On April 6th - 8th, the College of Science and Mathematics held the first weekend intensive innovation "hackathon" event. The goal of this event, and future events of this type, is to engage students from diverse majors in addressing long-standing problems of significance in both the military and public sectors.
