Better online courses and more online offerings will greet Wright State students this fall semester thanks to the faculty’s strong response to training and their creative approaches to remote teaching.

Long before Wright State announced plans to return to teaching for the fall semester, many administrators, faculty, staff and students had been working hard to make it happen.

Thanks to a scholarship, Cameron Sterrett, an applied mathematics major at Wright State, has an internship and full-time job lined up after he graduates.

There’s no place like home. And for Yoon-Jae Yi, a psychology and French major, that place is Wright State University.

Wright State announced plans to return to teaching on its Dayton and Lake Campuses for the fall 2020 semester on Aug. 24 with a dynamic and flexible mixture of in-person and remote courses.

The Gordon B. Skinner Scholarship Fund will support the full cost of tuition for a student enrolled in the College of Science and Mathematics and majoring in chemistry.

Adrienne Traxler, associate professor of physics, will study the sources physics faculty members use to master remote teaching, including people, websites and social media.

Students and alumni are encouraged to utilize Wright State Career Services and the many important tools they provide to assist with job searching.

This effort reinvigorates our university and will provide stability and a foundation upon which to prosper.
