CoSM Scholars selected for 2015 Journal of Excellence

The College of Science and Mathematics is please to announce that two of our student's essays were selected to be published in the 2015 volume of Best Integrated Writing (BIW):  “Identifying Genes Involved in Suppression of 43 Tumor Formation in the Planarian Schmidtea mediterranea,” written by Erin Dorsten for BIO 4020 and “Effects of Caffeine and Vitamin E 1 on Wisconsin Fast Plant,” written by Sarah Ferguson for BIO 3450.

Essays nominated by faculty and selected by the BIW editorial board showcase our student's excellence and our WSU faculty's dedication (who nominated the essays and provided short headnotes) to student success. The college would like to recognize Dr. Labib Rouhana, who nominated Erin Dorsten and Mr. Len Kenyon, who nominated Sarah Ferguson. We look forward to more essays representing excellent student writing from CoSM in future issues.

Best Integrated Writing publishes excellent student writing from Integrated Writing courses taught at Wright State University and strives to promote those examples for use by students and faculty as learning tools and is published annually by the Wright State University Department of English Language and Literatures.
