About

Jane Hwang

Hello! My name is Jane Hwang, and I am a senior, majoring in Psychology with a concentration in Behavioral Neuroscience and minoring in Youth and Community Engagement. Upon completion of my undergraduate degree, I plan to pursue a doctoral degree in occupational therapy.
Coming to Wright State University from a small private high school was a big transition for me. I did not really know many individuals and wondered if I could find my place. However, by being involved in student organizations and engaging with campus life, Wright State has truly become my “alma mater.” Currently, I serve as the President of Equip4Life, a nonprofit student organization that aims to build a bridge between the students of Wright State University and the services of the Miami Valley Women’s Center. Formerly, I worked with First Year Programs as a Peer Mentor and in the office of Orientation and Transition as a Student Coordinator. Additionally, I currently work in Dr. Joe Houpt’s lab assisting with data collection, literature review, and project generation. I have a passion for helping all students find their fit at Wright State University and I hope to increase interdisciplinary collaboration within the College of Science and Mathematics as well as promote heightened levels of communication among students, faculty, and staff! If you have any questions, comments or concerns or just want to talk, please do not hesitate to contact me! I would love the opportunity to get know you!
