Advising
On this page:
Overview
All Mathematics and Statistics Majors are assigned two advisors once they are admitted into the department.
Your staff advisor is a generalist advisor who focuses on the first two years of the academic experience. They can assist you with questions about university policy, reading and understanding degree audits, transfer credits, major changes, second majors and core requirements. They can also help students connect with appropriate university resources to support your academic success.
Your faculty advisor will assist you with connecting to the academic field, selecting advanced courses and career/graduate school advising.
Abby Sharp serves as the point of contact for Mathematics and Statistics majors, advising direct admits and students interested in becoming Mathematics or Statistics majors, and handling transfer course requests.
