Internships and co-ops are excellent opportunities to build your resume and develop relationships in the field. They provide on-the-job experience and a preview of what work in your chosen field is really like. In addition, you will learn skills not taught in the classroom that enhance your resume.
Some co-op programs are temporary paid employment and require time away from the classroom. Internships can often be used as independent research credit and applied toward your degree program. If you are a College of Science and Mathematics major and interested in getting involved in an internship or co-op program, please register with the UREL program. If you have any questions, ask your academic advisor.
