Field Experiences

Ornithology (BIO4720/6720)

You will be introduced to the world of birds from genetics to global ecology & conservation.  You will study diversity, form and function, physiology, behavior, life history, and identification by sound and sight. This course ends with a trip to Lake Erie during the spring bird migrations.

Marine Biology (BIO4730/6730)

Marine Biology introduces you to the oceanic ecosystems and includes a trip to a marine habitat on the coast. 

Field Expedition (BIO4450/6450)

Field Expedition is a field-based course that uses experiential learning to explore diverse habitats and cultures through observation, field identification, and data collection and analysis. Field Expedition includes international or domestic travel to field sites.
