Philips dStream Achieva Coil Options
The WSU CoNNECT was created around the Philips dStream Achieva MRI. This powerful, 3.0T MRI has a 60cm bore for improved magnetic field homogeneity. The Philips dStream technology enhances this Achieva platform by digitizing measured signals right at the coil, decreasing transmission noise. This technique promises higher SNR and improved resolution. Additionally, dStream captures the MR signal in full dynamic range without pre-distortion or compression of the signal.
dStream Head 32ch Coil
A head coil with 32 receive channels designed to provide high resolution imaging of the cortex. This coil provides excellent SNR across the entire field of view. Combined with dsSense, significant decreases in scan times can be achieved through parallel imaging leverage all 32 receive channels. For instance, 2D echo-planar images can acquired 52 slices in a single volume with a TR of 600ms and a TE of 30ms.This coil was also designed for simultaneous electroencephalography studies with enough room inside the coil to support a patient's head and electrodes, and a pathway for cabling through the top of the coil.
dStream HeadNeck 3.0T
Head/neck coil with 20 receive channel for head/neck or up to 52 receive channels for head/neck/spine.
dStream Head 3.0T
44 receive channels when imaging without anterior head or NV attachment.
FlexCoverage Posterior Coil
2 receive channel quadrature design coil with 13.5mT peak (20mT peak with Multi-Band SENSE). Integrated coil below the table top providing neck-to-toe coverage.
dStream Torso 3.0T
32 receive channel coil which can be used in conjunction with the dStream HeadNeck or dStream Head coils for total spine imaging applications. Enables 60cm coverage. This coil is flexible, lighweight and easy-to-position, with main applications of torso, chest, pelvis, heart and peripheral-vascular.
NeuroFunctional Equipment
MR Projection System
A Hyperion MR projection system is housed in the CoNNECT. HD 1080p (1920x1080) resolution and synchronized image frame rate provides optimal presentation and timing of visual stimuli to patients.
Wireless Button Response System
CoNNECT contains 2 - 4 button and 2 - 2 button wireless button response systems for use in functional MRI studies. Manufactured by SMIT Lab, this system enables synchronization with the MRI system using a TTL connection. Responses and MRI triggers are output via an emulated keyboard for easy incorporation into fMRI studies.
