On April 6th - 8th, the College of Science and Mathematics held the first weekend intensive innovation "hackathon" event. The goal of this event, and future events of this type, is to engage students from diverse majors in addressing long-standing problems of significance in both the military and public sectors. Students worked with other students from varied backgrounds to push the solutions as far as they could during the weekend timeframe. Culminating with each team pitching their ideas to regional experts on the problem. The event attracted over 30 students from across campus with 28 completing the full weekend and group presentations.
While this first weekend event has concluded, we invite you to revisit the web site for updates and notifications for future event. Until then please take a look at this video highlighting some of the experiences our student participants enjoyed during our first Innovation Weekend event.
