IDCAST, the Institute for Development and Commercialization of Advanced Sensor Technology, was awarded a $28 million Third Frontier Wright Center of Innovation grant by the Ohio Board Of Regents. The team, led by University of Dayton Research Institute (UDRI), includes a team from the Physics Department as a partner. The physics team consists of Dr. Doug Petkie, with projects on terahertz applications, and Dr. Lok C. Lew Yan Voon with plans on setting up a computational lab for product development and workforce training.
