Neuroscience Interactive Lab for High School Students
The Department of Neuroscience, Cell Biology, and Physiology at Wright State University offers a unique physiological and scientific experience focused on the interaction between the nervous system and musculature.
The Neuro Lab program offers high school students the opportunity to conduct experiments, collect data, and learn about neuromuscular physiology in an exciting and engaging way. Students will also be introduced to what neuroscience is, why it is important, and what neuroscientists do. The 90-minute, single-session Neuro Lab will be available to groups of 15-30 high school juniors and seniors from interested schools on Fridays during our Spring Academic Semester.
Due to demand, visit request forms must be emailed no earlier than the first Monday of November, and will be considered on a first-come first-served basis. Please see the Neuro Lab description for the visit request form and contact information.
In the Neuro Lab, students will learn about neuroscience by conducting experiments involving prosthetics, reflexes and muscle fatigue |
Wright State faculty reach out to the community to promote a new undergraduate neuroscience major. |
