About

Teaching/Tutoring

Colleges.jpgWright State offers freshman students one hour of free tutoring each week for each class they are enrolled in. In addition, sophomores, juniors, and seniors are eligible for tutoring services for a fee of $5.00/hr.

Tutoring services also help organize group tutoring sessions through the Supplemental Instruction (SI) program. These sessions are offered in conjunction with selected courses and are often taught by advanced undergrad students who are trained in SI instruction and work closely with the professor of the course. SI sessions are opportunities for students to get involved in small study groups to better understand course content.

For students who want to become tutors, they can submit their application to the Tutoring Services office located in 122 Student Success Center.  Becoming a tutor is a great way to interact with students in the classroom and as a mentor. It's also a nice opportunity to earn a little money on the side!
