The Department of Mathematics and Statistics offers three combined Bachelor of Science (B.S.)/Master of Science (M.S.) degree programs that allow you to earn B.S. and M.S. degrees in as few as 5 years:

Academics and Curriculum
In order to earn both the B.S. and M.S. degrees, students in the B.S./M.S. program must satisfy all coursework requirements for both degrees, and must successfully complete the M.S. degree written comprehensive examinations. While the B.S. degree requires 120 credit hours and the MS degree requires 30 credit hours, the combined program allows a maximum of 9 credit hours to be applied toward both B.S. and M.S. degree requirements.

Requirements
To be accepted for a B.S.-M.S. program, an undergraduate student must satisfy the conditions of university policy for combined degree programs, which includes the following requirements:
- A cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.2 or better
- The permission of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics to take graduate courses in the Department
- An approved plan of study
